Alina Diaz has been working with FLSNY since 2007 as an outreach worker providing education and advocacy for the Domestic Violence Project. She is an organizer and facilitator for the Farmworker Women’s Institute, a program of FLSNY. Alina attended St. Augustine College and graduated with an A.A. degree in Liberal Arts and completed coursework towards a Bachelor of Arts in Social Work. She is bilingual, fluent in both English and Spanish. She was the Latino Program Coordinator at Sarah’s Inn in Chicago and an Internship Coordinator/Job Developer with South Florida Workforce in Miami. She was awarded a Community Service & Outstanding Achievement award from Soroptimistic International. She was born in Girardot, Colombia and migrated to the United States in 1988.
